History of the school:
　　In June 1999, approved by the Department of Education of Liaoning Province, the state-owned and private branch of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology was established。
　　In September 1999, the first class of students entered the school, which is located in Yunfeng Street, Tiexi District, Shenyang。
　　In September 2000, the state-owned and private branch of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology was formally established independently。
　　In September 2001, the school moved to No. 11 Street, Shenyang Economic Development Zone。
　　In April 2002, the state-owned and private branch of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology passed the inspection and evaluation of Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, and the evaluation was good。
　　In June 2002, through the discussion and approval of the Party Committee of the former Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology, the state-owned and private branch of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology was renamed Shenyang Institute of Technology。
　　In March 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was officially renamed Keya College of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology。
　　In January 2005, the school accepted the teaching level assessment of the Ministry of Education and was praised by the expert group。
　　In March 2009, the school signed a cooperative education agreement。
　　In June 2009, the school moved to No. 380 Baita Street, Dongling District, Shenyang。
　　In March 2010, the School of Science and Technology of Shenyang Institute of Chemical Technology was renamed the School of Science and Technology of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology。
　　In August 2014, the school moved to a new campus (new address: No. 30, Quanyun Second West Road, Hunnan District, Shenyang)。
　　In April 2016, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the School of Science and Technology of Shenyang Chemical University was officially renamed Shenyang Institute of Science and Technology。
